Lamis Shams

Lamis born in Cairo and joined the Conservatoire at the age of ten where she studied under Dr. Mahmoud Mekhemar. She played in many solo and chamber music concerts at Cairo Opera house , different Cultural centers and Cairo Conservatoire and in different countries such as Germany, Hungary and Finland and Poland. She also participated in many workshops and masterclasses in Egypt and abroad where she studied with international piano professors such as Catherine Vickers, Mariola Cieniawa, Ralf Gothoni, Lucas Blondeel, Ramzi Yassa, Yasser Mokhtar and others. In 2010, she won first prize in piano performance in the Supreme Council of Culture Competition and in 2012, she won first prize in Chopin competition, sponsored by Polish embassy in Cairo.

Lamis got her bachelor degree from Cairo Conservatoire in 2016 and finished post-graduate diploma in Piano Performance in 2018 with Excellent degree. She started teaching when she was still a student at cultural centrrs and Cairo Opera House. Currently, She is a Piano Instructor at Cairo and Alexandria Conservatories. She’s also a teacher at Tempo music academy since 2018.
