Piano

During the piano lessons the methodology and techniques used will be adapted to the age and experience of the student.

Piano skills can be learned quickly if the student has the correct version of different methods and procedures are followed with regular practice. In order to play well, a student will be required to play specific skills pieces as well as learning well known tunes and melodies. These skills practice pieces will promote the following stages

Stage 1 involves discovering how the fingers, hands, arms are to be moved effectively for the best control.

Stage 2 involves conditioning the brain, nerves and muscles to execute these with ease and control.

Alongside piano playing techniques and skills the piano lessons will also involve learning about scales, time signatures, ear training including perfect pitch, dictation, sight reading and theory. These are an integral part of learning to play the piano as they complement one another; each area of knowledge allowing the easier understanding of its counterpart.
