Music Initiation

Tempo Music Academy has an excellent ‘initiation’ programme, where children of all ages can be introduced to a diverse range of musical experiences allowing them to enjoy music before beginning more formal tuition on an instrument of choice. The programme is diversified so that all ages of student can be accommodated.

Da Capo Beginning with the youngest students from the ages of 3 to 6 years, Tempo Music academy uses fun and games to introduce the children to the ba- sics of music with a simplified method that appeals to their sense of fun. It is our job to appeal to and to discover the talents of each child and to instill a love of music in their little heads. At this stage we would limit our groupings from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10 students.

Camminando With students from 7 to 10 years of age, Tempo Music Academy uses a similar program to that run for our youngest learners. Within this group there is more emphasis on an increasingly sophisticated approach, so that stu- dents can appreciate their own musical talents whilst enjoying a range of musi- cal activities. At this stage we would limit our groupings from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 students.

Cadenza Students aged 11-15 years of age already have an idea of their feelings towards music and an appreciation of music around them. This will be utilised and enhanced whilst orientating them towards an instrument of choice. This group will enjoy an introduction to music theory and the classical music of both the piano and violin. At this stage we would limit our groupings from a mini- mum of 4 to a maximum of 6 students.
